Introducing Dr Thomas Worland!

Dr Tom is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.  Tom completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Deakin and then went onto specialist training at Monash and Austin Health, and further sub-specialty training in liver transplantation.

Tom is well experienced in all facets of gastroenterology and has a special interest in challenging hepatology cases and transplant medicine, liver related disease such as chronic liver disease, fatty liver, and viral hepatitis.  Tom also manages other gastroenterology issues including coeliac disease, iron deficiency, reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome, as well as performing endoscopic procedures. 

With his special interest in liver health, Tom also provides follows up consultations to the majority of patient Fibroscan results.

Tom is actively involved in research, has been widely published in his field, and has presented at national and international conferences. 

With low/no gap fees and minimal wait times for privately insured endoscopy, as well as a public appointment at Monash, Tom is able to provide care to all patients needing gastroenterological consultation and intervention.
